Shot in the Dark
Literally! 7:30 at night and I have no pictures for today. No moon, no flares from a distant plant, just dark. I could not see anything through my view finder. I could not see anything using Live View. I put my camera on the tripod, turned up my ISO, turned off my auto focus and pointed it towards the only part of the sky with any light at all and pushed the button. The shutter had to stay open for 30 seconds to get this. The stars were a surprise.

I love it!! You did such a wonderful job!! 30 seconds is a long time and it is amazing what the camera can see. I am so glad that you were able to get this shot! Amazing!
